Join Jamul Community Church at their annual Fall Fest on Saturday, October 28th, 2-6 PM!

Free Workshop at the Water Conservation Garden: Efficient Irrigation – October 21, 2017

Join the Water Conservation Garden for another fun, informative, and FREE workshop – This time, we’re talking about Efficient Irrigation!

Landscape Designer Jan Tubiolo will discuss how to manage the water you give your plants through the proper maintenance of your irrigation system and correct timing of your sprinklers. Jan will give practical advice for reviewing and repairing your sprinkler system. This class is made possible by the San Diego County Watershed Protection Program.

This workshop is FREE, but registration is required. Click here to register.

Happy October!  Check out the attached Rancho San Diego Library Calendar and flyers to see all of the fun, FREE programs happening at the library this month. In addition to the library’s regularly occurring events, some special events this month include

  • Featured Artists: “Mixin’ It Up!” Acrylic on paper and canvas, watercolor, and mixed media paintings by Tina Fries-Miller and Roz Oserin.
  • First Tuesday: Carlos Velasco (October 3): Enjoy an evening of Latin Jazz and more from a versatile guitarist and composer – Carlos Velasco!
  • Local Author Event (October 7): Meet six local authors who work in a variety of genres at this special literary event! A book signing and reception will follow the authors’ presentations.
  • Fall Book Sale (October 15): Come snag some great deals on holiday books, half-priced cookbooks, and more at the Rancho San Diego Library Fall Book Sale!
  • Pumpkin Painting Craft (October 21): Join us for a fun October craft! One pumpkin per person while supplies last.
  • Star Wars Reads Day (October 28): Special family event! Bring your costumes for fun prices, make your own light saber, visit the cantina for Star Wars treats, and more!
  • Halloween Storytimes (October 31): The Library will be hosting special storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers on Halloween! Come dressed up, enjoy some treats, and go on a parade in the library after storytime.
